The Muthoot M. George Memorial TANKER & Kerala Kidney Research Foundation Young Investigator Award for outstanding research done in the field of Nephrology in India was awarded to Dr Narayan Prasad from Lucknow for his dedicated research to help children affected with kidney disease. The award carried a cash prize of Rs. 1,00,000/- a citation and a gold medallion.

The Renny Abraham TANKER Foundation Love for Service Award for a medical doctor who has gone beyond the call of duty in serving the underprivileged was awarded to Dr Anita Rao,T.T.Ranganathan Clinic,Chennai for going beyond the call of duty and personally helping thousands of patients fight addictions. The award carried a cash prize of Rs. 1,00,000/-, a citation and a gold medallion.

The La Renon TANKER Foundation For the Sake of Honour Award given to Dr. Robin Eady,the longest living person with kidney failure ,for his research work in Dermatology and his triumph over kidney disease. The award carried a cash prize of Rs. 1,00,000/-, a citation and a gold medallion.

The Krishnan Ang TANKER Foundation Endowment Lecture was delivered by Dr. Robin Eady, He spoke about the trials and tribulations of his personal battle with kidney disease.

A special music show was performed by the band from Nethrodaya, a self- help institution for the visually and physically challenged.
