Our 22nd Annual Charity and Awards Nite was held on Sunday, 25th January 2015 at 6.00 pm at Hotel Savera, RK Salai, Chennai. TANKER has used this special night as a platform to recognise and appreciate the efforts of professionals working tirelessly to improve the lives of people, especially the underprivileged with kidney and other disease.

The Krishnan Ang TANKER Foundation Endowment Lecture by Dr. K.V. Johny, a renowned nephrologist who has pioneered renal transplantation in India. He is a great philanthropist and has done outst anding work in Diabetes and Hypertension which are the major causes of kidney failure in our country. His lecture was on “Pioneering Contributions to Nephrology”. The award carried a cash prize, a citation and a gold medallion.
The Muthoot M. George Memorial TANKER & Kerala Kidney Research Foundation Young Investigator Award for outstanding research done in the field of Nephrology in India was awarded to Dr. Sreejith Parameswaran for his research into “Chronic Kidney Disease in rural population ".The award carried a cash prize, a citation and a gold medallion.
The Renny Abraham TANKER Foundation Love for Service Award for a medical doctor who has gone beyond the call of duty in serving the underprivileged was awarded to Dr. Sunder Subramaniam, who through his Freedom Trust has carried out outstanding and lasting contributions to empower people with disability. The award carried a cash prize, a citation and a gold medallion.
The K.Venkatanarayana TANKER Foundation Awareness Award to individuals for creating awareness of any disease, mental, physical and social. Dr. Sunil Shroff Founder – MOHAN Foundation for his unstinting efforts to create awareness on Organ Donation. The award carried a cash prize, a citation and a gold medallion.
The Ashok Sankaralingam TANKER Foundation Patient Endowment - for 3 Patients underprivileged patients.
There were a cultural event by students of by students of “Sankalp” an NGO taking care of special needs children and Kuchupudi performance by Sri. Vempatti Ravi Shankar and Dr. Yamini Saripalli.
